8/25/08 Medical Center Named to 'Most Wired' Hospitals List

The University of Illinois Medical Center at Chicago has been named among the top 100 "Most Wired Hospitals" for the third straight year by Hospitals & Health Networks magazine. The list recognizes hospitals for using information technology to streamline business and clinical practices, reduce medical errors, and improve clinical outcomes.more

The University of Illinois at Chicago College of Medicine was named one of the Best Schools for Hispanics in the September issue of Hispanic Business magazine. more

8/13/08- Urban Health Program Marks 30 Years of Training Minority Physicians

Thirty years ago, the Illinois State Legislature called for the formation of the Urban Health Program at the University of Illinois at Chicago to recruit, retain and graduate students from groups underrepresented in the health professions -- African Americans, Hispanics, and Native Americans -- who would practice in medically underserved urban areas. more
